Abreu Helps New York Cruise to 11-3 Win
The New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox, 11-3, at Fenway Park. New York first baseman Bobby Abreu earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Brian Moehler got the win, improving to 1-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Andy Ashby earned the save for New York, his 1st of the year.
