Perez Helps Storm Chasers Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers downed the San Antonio Missions, 7-5, at Maples Stadium. The Storm Chasers were led by Eduardo Perez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tony J. Castillo converted his 16th save in 17 tries. The Storm Chasers, now 35-50, have won 4 in a row.
Flexing his muscles for Omaha was the aforementioned Perez. The left fielder had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Storm Chasers. It put his team ahead, 3-2, and sent them on to victory.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Storm Chasers manager . "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
