Lazy Fisherman Subdue Tacoma, 5-3
|
Tacoma center fielder Daryl Boston had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rainiers dropped a 5-3 decision to Naperville at Ballpark of Milton. Boston was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Lazy Fisherman now have a record of 48-38.
Denny Hocking had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth for Naperville. With the bases loaded and the Lazy Fisherman leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
Hocking said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
