Brass Need Extras to Top Warriors
The Walla Walla Warriors and New Orleans Brass provided some drama at Ballpark of Milton.

The New Orleans Brass picked up a win at Ballpark of Milton, knocking off the Walla Walla Warriors, 6-5. Starting pitcher Vaughn Eshelman, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Brass have an impressive 58-29 record.

The Warriors had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Brass going into the top of the 11th inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old center fielder Darren Reed came to the plate. Reed hit a run-scoring single on a 1-1 sinker from Walla Walla hurler Pete Young. It was Reed's 36th hit of the year.

"Exciting game to play in," said Reed. "Getting the win makes it even better."
