Tucker Helps Spokane Outscore Omaha
The Spokane River Rats beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 11-10, at Maples Stadium. Michael Tucker was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. The 24-year old right fielder was a menace to Omaha all day. Spokane reliever Curt Schmidt got the win, raising his record to 5-1. Kevin Tapani was tagged with the loss. With the win, the River Rats have a record of 39-50.

Tucker came through with some timely hitting for Spokane. With the score 1-1 in the top of the third and one down, Tucker hit a first pitch fastball for a grand slam home run. His 13th home run of the season made it 5-1, Spokane.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Tucker, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
