|
The bats were silent much of the day at Bella Vista Grounds. But David Bell conjured up just enough offense to carry the Lazy Fisherman past the Salt Lake City Buzz, 3-2. Bell went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times. Blas Minor converted his 18th save in 19 tries. Naperville has now won 4 straight, while the Buzz have lost 6 in a row.
Bell had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the sixth when the 24-year old third baseman hit a solo home run. The home run gave Naperville the lead, 3-1. It was his 11th home run of the season.
