Lazy Fisherman Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-1 at Idaho Falls
|
Spirited fans at Alleycats Ballpark greeted the Idaho Falls Chukars for their clash with the Naperville Lazy Fisherman.
The Naperville Lazy Fisherman topped the Idaho Falls Chukars by the score of 6-1, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Denny Hocking. Hocking went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Lazy Fisherman. Naperville is now 53-39, while Idaho Falls is 39-53.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning. Facing Idaho Falls hurler Phil Leftwich, Juan Castro hit a run-scoring single. The Lazy Fisherman went on to win.
"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Idaho Falls skipper . "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
