The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Bank One Ballpark, knocking off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-1. Starting pitcher Ugueth Urbina played a key role in the triumph. Urbina, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Los Angeles, now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

The Dodgers grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth. With one out, Ryan Klesko hit a 2-run home run off Scott Karl, putting Los Angeles in front, 3-0. For Klesko, it was his 1st home run of the season.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Urbina.
