Clark Excels, But Missions Win
|
Tucson got a terrific game from first baseman Tony Clark. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to San Antonio , 11-10. Clark was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. At 51-39, the Missions find themselves in second place in the Pacific Central.
It could have been a different outcome for San Antonio , had it not been for Brooks Kieschnick, the 25-year old first baseman . Kieschnick contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put San Antonio up, 11-10.
"What a game," said Kieschnick. "We needed every last run."
