Close Win Moves Brass to 57-36
|
The Brass had to overcome a fine performance from Naperville pitcher Garrett Stephenson to grab a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Milton. Stephenson allowed 3 earned runs over 9 innings. New Orleans goes to 57-36. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
Scott Brosius, who is tied for 7th in the PAC in bases on balls with 40, aided the New Orleans cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Brosius said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
