Storm Chasers Prove Rude Guests, Win 3-2 at Walla Walla
|
Behind the bravura of left fielder David Justice, the Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Walla Walla Warriors by the score of 3-2. Justice went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Storm Chasers. Kevin Tapani got the win, improving to 16-3. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Troy Percival saved it for Omaha.
Justice came through with some timely hitting for Omaha. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and two down, Justice hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run home run. His 24th home run of the season made it 2-0, Omaha.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Justice said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
Omaha improves to 67-27 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.
