Rainiers Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
|
Tacoma Rainiers starter Greg Keagle was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Nashville Sounds, 4-3. Tavo Alvarez earned his 10th save in 13 chances. The Rainiers now have a record of 36-59.
With runs few and far between, the Rainiers had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Tacoma came in the bottom of the seventh inning, when center fielder Daryl Boston delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Jose RF Santiago and made the score 4-3, Rainiers. Boston went 1 for 4.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nashville manager . "But we decided not to take it."
