Morris Slugs Expos to 9-2 Win
The exploits of designated hitter Hal Morris, who is tied for 9th in the UL with a .575 slugging percentage, helped the Montreal Expos defeat the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-2. Morris hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Pat Hentgen was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Expos, now 17-8, have played some good baseball in the early going.

With Montreal leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Morris hit a curveball from Frank Wills for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Expos ahead, 3-0.

"We had a nice day," said Montreal skipper David Polakoff.
