Staton Helps Buzz Run Win Streak to 3
|
Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls duked it out at Bella Vista Grounds and the Buzz came out victorious.
With first baseman Dave Staton leading the charge, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 3-2, at Bella Vista Grounds. Staton, who is tied for 3rd in the PAC in total bases with 197, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Donnie Elliott notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Salt Lake City shortstop Abraham O Nunez gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Buzz trailing 1-0, Nunez drew a walk.
"I like what I saw today," said Salt Lake City manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
Salt Lake City has 3 straight wins, Idaho Falls 3 straight losses.
