Brass Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Sounds
The New Orleans Brass beat the Nashville Sounds, 5-4, at Red Devils Stadium. New Orleans designated hitter Chris Snopek earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jimmy Jones picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-5. He struck out 3 in 8 innings. The Brass own a robust 63-33 mark.

New Orleans used the timely hitting of Steve Gibralter to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brass on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We've got a great group of guys," Snopek said, "and we're having fun right now."
