Davis Lifts Rainiers to 7-4 Win
Tacoma third baseman Russ Davis was instrumental in his team's 7-4 win over the San Antonio Missions. Davis, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1993 draft, went 4-5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rainiers. Brian Rose was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. The Rainiers are now 37-60, while the Missions fall to 55-42.

Davis came through with some timely hitting for Tacoma. With the score 0-0 in the top of the first and one down, Davis hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season made it 2-0, Tacoma.
