Clark 3-4, Storm Chasers Move to 69-28
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Tacoma Rainiers, 9-3, at Maples Stadium today. Leading the charge for Omaha was first baseman Phil B. Clark. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Tom Rowe got the win, improving to 10-4. He worked 9 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The first-place Storm Chasers, at 69-28, now lead their division by 5 games.
Clark had a key at-bat for Omaha early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 16th double of the season and gave Omaha an early 2-0 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Clark said after the game.
