The Spokane River Rats topped the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 5-3, with first baseman Larry Sheets playing a big role. Sheets went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the River Rats in the win. Rick Helling picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 10 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 9.
