Dodgers Beat Giants in 11
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a stellar performance from pitcher Bret Saberhagen, who handcuffed the San Francisco offense en route to a 4-2 win at Candlestick Park. Allan Anderson earned the save, his 3rd, for the Dodgers. The Giants fall to 12-13 and continue their uneasy start to the 1994 season.
The result might have been different for Los Angeles, had it not been for Shane Mack. The left fielder produced a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 4-2. For the game, Mack had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Saberhagen said.
