The New Orleans Brass did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Brian Barnes, who captured player of the game honors. Mark Brandenburg got the save, his 31st in 35 chances. The Brass own a robust 66-33 mark.

The Brass beat the Storm Chasers with some clutch hitting. The single by Darren Reed in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Reed gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"I was a little disappointed," said Omaha manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
