|
Behind a solid performance from catcher Mike Macfarlane, the Tucson Tarantulas defeated the Nashville Sounds, 11-2. Macfarlane went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Tarantulas. Nashville has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Roberto Mejia, who is tied for 8th in the PAC in extra base hits with 40, helped out the Tucson cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with 2 walks.
"The vibe's good," said Tucson manager . "We've got to keep it going."
