San Antonio Missions starter Jason Jacome was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Idaho Falls Chukars, 9-3. The winning pitcher was Jacome, now 5-3. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The second-place Missions improved to 59-44.

The Missions used some clutch hitting to beat the Chukars, a good example being the at-bat of Mike Lansing in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, Lansing gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"Jason was throwing strikes, locating well," said San Antonio manager .
