New Orleans right-hander LaTroy Hawkins pitched his team to victory over the Nashville Sounds at Red Devils Stadium. The final score was 4-1. The Brass have an impressive 63-40 record.
Eric Karros aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 5 with a double.
"Winning is contagious," said Karros. "We're looking forward to the next game."
