Brass Clip Missions in Tight Contest
The New Orleans Brass bested the San Antonio Missions by a score of 7-4, with catcher Greg Myers getting the main credit. On the day, Myers went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Brass. New Orleans reliever Luis Aquino was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Steve Olin. The first-place Brass, at 64-41, now lead their division by 4 games.

Myers had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Jeff Pico, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Brass a 7-4 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Myers.

"This place was rocking at the end," Myers said.
