Johnson Blanks Minnesota
|
Joe Johnson bent a little, but he didn't break against the Minnesota Twins. The St. Louis Cardinals pitcher hurled a 3-hit 5-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 2 strikeouts.
"Joe is good at getting out of jams," Cardinals manager Adam Rabel told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
So far this year Johnson has compiled a 12-9 record with a 3.93 ERA.
