Castillo Lifts Mets to Win
|
New York Mets starter Frank Castillo had all his pitches working at Shea Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 New York win over the Montreal Expos. The win puts the Mets at 79-58, while the Expos drop to 88-49.
Castillo, now 14-10, scattered 6 hits over 9 innings for the Mets.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said New York skipper Michael Kritikos.
