Salmon Helps Rockies Run Win Streak to 4
|
Colorado right fielder Tim Salmon had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the San Diego Padres, 10-2. Jack McDowell earned the win to go to 15-8. He allowed no earned runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. San Diego has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Contributing to the Colorado win was Glenn Davis. In the top of the third, the three-time All-Star had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 1-0, the Rockies in front.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Davis.
