The Orlando Devil Rays picked up a win at Orlando Citrus Bowl, knocking off the Cleveland Spiders, 6-3. On the mound for Orlando was right-hander Joe Johnson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Johnson went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 16-4. Orlando is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Ivan Rodriguez, who is a two-time Gold Glove winner, chipped in for Orlando with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
