Minnesota first baseman Frank Thomas had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Juan Guzman got the win, improving to 6-5. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Carlos Almanzar got the save, his 2nd in 3 chances.
