Neagle K's 10 En Route to 2-0 Royals Win
The Kansas City Royals went home winners at Royals Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Denny Neagle. Neagle silenced the Chicago Cubs, enabling Kansas City to grab the 2-0 win. Justin Thompson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. Kansas City improves to 82-55 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.

Neagle, a native of The United States, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Royals 7.1 quality innings. Neagle threw 112 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 10.

"Denny was pounding the zone," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker.
