Seattle Pilots starter Randy Johnson had all his pitches working at Kingdome. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Seattle win over the Oakland Athletics. The Pilots bumped their record to 73-63 with this latest triumph.

Paul O'Neill, the Seattle left fielder, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 3-2, Pilots. For the game, O'Neill was 2-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"Randy's tempo and rhythm were good," said Pilots manager Robert O'Neill. "He was the key to us winning."
