Orioles Win at Montreal, 7-5
|
The Montreal Expos and Baltimore Orioles cranked it up at Olympic Stadium.
The Baltimore Orioles downed the Montreal Expos, 7-5, at Olympic Stadium. Kevin Koslofski led the way, going 2-for-4 for Baltimore. Steve Avery got credit for the win, improving to 10-11. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in 7.1 innings.
With Baltimore leading 5-0 in the top of the sixth, Koslofski came up to bat against Montreal pitcher Pat Hentgen. Koslofski hit a fastball to right for a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Orioles on top, 7-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Koslofski.
Baltimore now sits in last place in the United League East Division at 46-91.
