Salt Lake City right-hander Steve Parris helped his team edge Walla Walla by the score of 3-2. Parris kept the opposing lineup in check. Even with the win, the Buzz have a dismal 16-90 record.

The Warriors had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Buzz going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 36-year old first baseman Terry Francona came to the plate. Francona hit a run-scoring single on a 2-0 fastball from Walla Walla hurler Jamie Brewington. It was Francona's 134th hit of the year.

Afterward, Buzz manager was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
