Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Minnesota Twins got the win.
Minnesota beat Milwaukee on the strength of starter Juan Guzman's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Minnesota, now 10-16, is off to a slow start.
Minnesota used the timely hitting of Kal Daniels to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Twins on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach.
