Salt Lake City starter Mike Oquist put a stranglehold on the Round Rock offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Buzz to a 4-1 win. Salt Lake City is last in the Pacific West with a record of 28-79.

It could have been a different outcome for Salt Lake City, had it not been for Shane Andrews, the 24-year old third baseman . Andrews contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Salt Lake City up, 4-1.

Oquist called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
