Stag Dispose of Sky Fox, 10-3
|
It was a fun time at Tuttle Fields, where the Colorado Springs Sky Fox and Portland Stag tangled.
Ed Sprague Jr. was instrumental in his team's 10-3 triumph over the Colorado Springs Sky Fox. The first baseman was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Portland Stag. The losing streak for Colorado Springs has now reached 5 games.
Sprague Jr. had no bigger at-bat than in the bottom of the first when the 29-year old first baseman hit a 3-run home run. The home run gave Portland the lead, 4-0. It was his 24th home run of the season.
"We played hard and won," said Sprague Jr.. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
