Salt Lake City Buzz starter Mike Oquist was in fine form against the Nashville Sounds at Bella Vista Grounds, leading his team to a 3-0 win. Oquist picked up the win for Salt Lake City, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. The Buzz have now won 7 straight.

The Buzz beat the Sounds with some clutch hitting. The single by Dave Staton in the bottom of the third is a good example. With two down, Staton gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he came through with the big hit.
