Detroit got a strong outing from Tim Belcher as the Tigers defeated the Montreal Expos, 4-2, at Tiger Stadium. Belcher got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Belcher allowed 2 earned runs. Elmer Dessens nailed down his 2nd save.
