Motors Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Colorado Springs Sky Fox and the Tacoma Rainiers.
Colorado Springs first baseman Randy Milligan played a vital role in his team's 5-4 triumph over Tacoma. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Colorado Springs. Jason Christiansen was called on to finish, recording his 19th save.
Milligan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Tom Rowe, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Sky Fox a 4-3 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Milligan.
"If it's down the middle," said Milligan, "you might as well hit it."
Colorado Springs is 46-62 and Tacoma, with the loss, 48-60.
