Sky Fox Lose, 6-4, at Red Devils Stadium
|
The Nashville Sounds picked up a win at Red Devils Stadium, knocking off the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 6-4. On the mound for Nashville was right-hander Bob Tewksbury, who played a pivotal role in the win. Tewksbury went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 11 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-10. Nashville is now 43-68, Colorado Springs 37-74.
Donnell Neal had a big run-scoring double for the Sounds in the bottom of the second inning. With Nashville leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from John Wetteland and stroked the double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sounds ahead, 2-0.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Neal.
