Brass Roll to 8-1 Win Over Storm Chasers
The New Orleans Brass grabbed a 8-1 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers at Bay Hawks Ballpark. New Orleans left fielder Ruben Sierra went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles to earn player of the game honors. New Orleans starter Luis Aquino was credited with the win after throwing 110 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-5. New Orleans goes to 67-46. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

An important at-bat for the Brass came in the bottom of the third, when shortstop Jose Vidro stroked a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-0 in favor of New Orleans. For the day, Vidro went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sierra. "And not try to do too much."
