The San Antonio Missions got a stellar performance from pitcher Jason Jacome, who handcuffed the Salt Lake City offense en route to a 7-2 win at Bella Vista Grounds. With the victory, the Missions record now stands at 62-49.

Runs were at a premium. So, David Green's at-bat with no one out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The San Antonio center fielder hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Jacome said.
