The Round Rock Express cruised to a 12-4 win over the Nashville Sounds at Alleycats Ballpark today. Dwight Smith led the way, going 3-for-4 for Round Rock. The win boosts the Express to 69-45. The loss puts the Sounds at 69-45.

Smith made an early impact for Round Rock when he stroked his 145th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Express on top, 4-1.

"We'll savor this win," Smith told the Round Rock Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
