Rainiers Roll to 8-3 Win Over Lazy Fisherman
The Tacoma Rainiers trumped the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 8-3, at Premont Grounds. Tacoma first baseman Ron Coomer was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was Bob Wickman's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Dan Naulty took the loss for Naperville. The Rainiers, at 44-75, sit in last place in the Pacific West.

Russ Davis put Tacoma in front, 8-0, when he took Jerry DiPoto downtown. His grand slam home run came with one out in the bottom of the sixth. It was his 17th home run of the season.

"We came out aggressive," said Rainiers manager . "We came out swinging the bats."
