The Tucson Tarantulas downed the New Orleans Brass, 14-6, at Ballpark of Louisville. The Tarantulas were led by Ray Holbert, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Tucson occupies 5th place in the Pacific West at 55-63.
Mark Bellhorn's at-bat in the bottom of the second inning was a big one for Tucson. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Tucson trailing 4-3, the designated hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
