Brass Walk It Off for 71st Win of Season

The New Orleans Brass powered past the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 9-7, at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Jose Vidro went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. New Orleans goes to 71-50. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
New Orleans took a 9-7 lead on Eric Karros's 22nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Colorado Springs pitcher Antonio Alfonseca in the bottom of the ninth.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Brass manager . "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
