Lewis Helps Express Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Round Rock Express defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 13-6, in Pacific action at Bella Vista Grounds, with Round Rock second baseman Mark Lewis named player of the game. Steve Wojciechowski, credited with the win, is now 8-11. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits in 5.1 innings. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Round Rock.
It could have been a different outcome for Round Rock, had it not been for Andy Tomberlin, the 28-year old left fielder . Tomberlin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Round Rock up, 4-2.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Express manager , "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
