Rainiers Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Idaho Falls
|
The Tacoma Rainiers stymied the Idaho Falls Chukars, 6-2, at Alleycats Ballpark. Daryl Boston, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Tacoma. The Rainiers' win now puts them at 45-75.
Boston came through with some timely hitting for Tacoma. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Boston hit a 1-0 curveball for a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season made it 3-0, Tacoma.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Idaho Falls manager . "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
