The New Orleans Brass stopped the Spokane River Rats, 8-6, at Bay Hawks Ballpark. The Brass got a big game from Darren Reed, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. New Orleans now sits in 4th place in the Pacific Central at 65-57.

Reed had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Don August, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Brass a 8-6 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Reed.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Reed told the New Orleans Daily News.
