Buzz Continue Skid Thanks to Worthington, Lazy Fisherman
|
The Naperville Lazy Fisherman defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 9-7, at Ballpark of Milton today. Leading the charge for Naperville was designated hitter Craig Worthington. He went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Blas Minor got the save, his 26th in 27 chances. Salt Lake City has now lost 5 in a row.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when first baseman Matt Luke, who is tied for 2nd in the PAC in extra base hits with 52, hit a double. The Lazy Fisherman went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Worthington.
